Our new research catalyst is fashion. Fashion is all about experimentation, the industry has readily adopted new materials and techniques in a quest to stimulate desire. Advances in technology keep creative juices flowing and enable previously unimagined forms to come to life, fast.

We'll focus on how emerging trends are communicated to the consumer, the design and fabrication of the clothes themselves, and how new collections are ultimately sold. We'll start in the laboratory, work the red carpet, and wrap with the launch of the Scottish Academy of Fashion.
