It's the near future, and astronaut Sam Bell is living on the far side of the moon. He's completing a three-year contract with Lunar Industries to mine for Earth’s new primary source of clean energy, Helium-3.
It's a solitary job, made harder by a broken satellite that allows no live communications home. Taped messages are all he can send and receive. The only real-time interaction is with GERTY, the station's robotic computer. He yearns to go home, but an accident uncovers a startling truth.

We shall also premier 'Code-Time', a ten minute digital video by Chris Speed made up of 3000 QR codes. Each barcode is an encoded frame from the introductory sequence to '2001 A Space Odyssey'.
To 'watch' this version of the movie the audience require a smartphone with a QR reader, so that each barcode can be decoded and allow the viewer to see one frame of the movie at a time.
