20 slides x 20 seconds each, that's the rules. Being initiated into PechaKucha tonight are a selection of curators from National Museum of Scotland who will offer an insight into their specialist research areas.

They will be covering everything from zoology to science and technology. Find out what goes on behind the scenes and why theses curators travel to the far corners of the globe to seek new specimens for their collections.

The Tōhoku earthquake off the coast of Japan occurred at 2:46pm on 11 March 2011 and registered 9.0 on the Richter magnitude scale.

The epicenter was eighty miles off the coast of the Oshika Peninsula, creating a 10m high tsunami that devastated the coastal region. Global PechaKucha Day is raising funds for Architecture for Humanity and their reconstruction effort.
