The Illusionist

Tuesday 6th June 2017, 7pm. RSVP
Auchrannie Resort, Brodick, Isle of Arran KA27 8BZ

Our Atmosphere screening of Sylvain Chomet's 2010 feature film is the first ever expanded cinema experience on board the Screen Machine. We've added a layer of sensory experiences to bring the film to life – from Paris in 1959 to the tastes and smells of a Scottish island.

A love-letter to Scotland which tells the story of a French vaudeville magician who, finding himself out of work, tries his luck in Britain. Finally reaching a remote Scottish island, he meets a young woman who believes that he really can do magic. Devoted to him, she follows him to Edinburgh.

FULLY BOOKED

Stimulating your senses throughout the screening will be flavours and fragrances for you to enjoy in sync with the film. Scent Technician Ericka Duffy worked with local producers on Arran to put together the pack of items to eat, drink and smell.

This is the first film to be presented following the Screen Machine's recent refurbishment, which was carried out by a team in France. We hope that you'll agree that this very special screening of 'The Illusionist' is a fitting way to celebrate our Alliance.

Tuesday 26th June 2012, 8:30 for 9pm.
