Beyond Progressive Enhancement
The time is 2020 and most web traffic is now coming from some manner of portable device. If Google's Eric Schmidt predictions have come true, we will have truly reached a time where "The web will be everything, but it will be nothing. It will be like electricity, it is just there."
Bryan Rieger of Yiibu will challenge us to think about the role of the web going forward. What steps must we take to build a world where interactions with the web are truly seamless? What would a seamless web even look like? How can we ensure the web remains strong?

48 hours | Slow Food Film
30th October 2013, 7:30 for 8pm. £5
Inspace, 1 Crichton Street, Edinburgh EH8 9AB
This month we're launching Slow Food Films: a series of films exploring the depths of food culture through history to the present day, between reality and the imagination. Our first film is lo Sono L'Amore (I Am Love). Much like it's star, Tilda Swinton, this movie is unsettlingly beautiful.
Set in Milan and the Italian countryside, the movie follows the heroine’s transition from the gilded cage of upper-class Italian family life, to a more expressive existence with her chef-lover. Food is the medium bringing her out of her shell. A must see and taste too with Italian treats served.
