Encounters

Friday 11th April 2014, 7 for 7.30pm.
Informatics Forum, 10 Crichton Street, Edinburgh EH8 9AB

Encounters at Latelab take a hot topic in neuroscience and pairs speakers with different perspectives on a shared theme.

Ginsberg is a tool that gives you control of your life by letting you understand the triggers to how you feel. Developed by the Scottish Government in partnership with NHS 24 and New Media Scotland, it'll be easy to use enabling you to manage your mood and mental wellbeing.

FULLY BOOKED

We've awarded six Alt-w Fund production awards and three Ginsberg Fellowships to artists and technologists to develop new works that contribute to the conversation around the development of the platform. These will come on stream this Spring for beta testing, but we'll preview a selection tonight by Joanne Hodge & Musemantik.

Hosted by Geoff Huggins this a salon-style evening of presentations, conversation and discussion. Our experts including Rohan Gunatillake of buddhify and Graham Maclachlan of Blipfoto will share, question each other and debate among themselves and with you, the audience.

Fun, informative and often surprising, no two encounters are ever the same but they do all guarantee an evening of cerebral stimulation of the most pleasant kind.

LateLab is a collaboration between the Edinburgh International Science Festival, New Media Scotland and the University of Edinburgh's School of Informatics.
