NHS Lothian’s Art and Therapeutic Design programme awarded three Creative Research Artist Fellowships to explore the activity and research interests of the Department of Clinical Neuroscience in Edinburgh. Alex Menzies and Florence To are joint DCN Music Fellow.

This is the third of three free concerts by Menzies, also known as DJ Alex Smoke. Each concert will be an informal mix of performance and experiment, utilising some of the research gathered so far on the fellowship into the various psychological and physiological effects of sound.

Menzies frequently works alongside visual artist Florence To, creating site-specific installations. He's released multiple albums, singles and remixed the likes of Steve Reich and Depeche Mode. His background in classical music has also led him to compose orchestral music, also for film and TV.
