Atmosphere | The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie
Monday 20th June 2011, 8.30 for 9pm.
Inspace, 1 Crichton Street, Edinburgh EH8 9AB
For all you set-jetters out there, a treat filmed right here on our doorstep. It’s 1930s Edinburgh and Miss Jean Brodie cuts a dash through the Marcia Blaine School for Girls. She has the frocks, she has her tenure, and she has a tendency to romanticise Fascism in class.
The Brodie Set are the focus of her devotion and energy, her girls are the crème de la crème. But overlooking Greyfrairs Kirk and on the banks of the Forth at Cramond, there is a snake in the grass… and the trousers.
