Alt-w LAB

The Alt-w LAB marked a new chapter for the Alt-w Fund. This pilot national media lab was a space for the production, participation and presentation of creative technology. Open to all, encouraging new ideas and applications, whilst providing space for our existing Alt-w alumni.

Our first project was with NHS Lothian's Art and Therapeutic Design programme. Together we've awarded three Creative Research Artist Fellowships to explore the activity and research interests of the Department of Clinical Neuroscience in Edinburgh. All three were based at the lab.

Susana Cámara Leret is Design Fellow, Language & Cognition Fellow is Gavin Inglis, and Music Fellow is Alex Menzies and Florence To. With an open source curatorial methodology, the lab was also home to residencies by Stacey Hunter, Jack King-Spooner and Sven Werner.
